The transformation of Google over the last decade as been nothing short of miraculous, this has included a myriad of services which have combined into one huge conglomerate. Now, Google have also changed their logo, which looks only slightly different to all of their previous logos.

Below is an image of the new design which has been unveiled by the search engines blog, so, why have Google opted for a new design? This is what the company have said.

“Today we’re introducing a new logo and identity family that reflects this reality and shows you when the Google magic is working for you, even on the tiniest screens. As you’ll see, we’ve taken the Google logo and branding, which were originally built for a single desktop browser page, and updated them for a world of seamless computing”

Not sure about “Google Magic” but ok whatever, other changes include the re-imagining of the small blue “G” icon which will now be divided into four colours, below is an image to convey this.   GoogleGoogle aims to offer “Seamless Computing” which integrates across the plethora of devices, whether it be Tablets, Mobiles, laptops and traditional Desktops. The world of computing has changed and therefore what once used to be a single desktop browser page is now a never-ending conveyor belt of tech. Google state that they will complete the rollout out of this design change in the near future.  But as of writing, it looks to be very much happening considering the colour scheme of both the logo and “G” have changed to the new design. It may make a difference depending on your point of view, only time will tell for consumers.

If you land on Google’s front page you might see this quirky animation which below is in GIF form, this is a subtle way of unveiling a new design.
