Metal Gear Franchise sells over 31 Million

Snake and the Metal Gear series is just about 25 years old now and, despite it’s age, is still going strong.

The franchise has managed to top 31 million unit sales worldwide, Konami Japan has confirmed.

The announcement comes shortly after Konami released Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D – a 3DS remake of the PS2 classic – in UK earlier this month, almost 25 years after the 1987 release of the original Metal Gear on the MSX2.
