Michael Jackson dies, aged 50

Not hardware news, but very important none the less, especially in my life, if not many other millions of peoples lives.
It was announced yesterday that legendary entertainer Michael Jackson died at the young age of 50 after suffering a cardiac arrest at his home in Beverly Hills.

The singer reportedly stopped breathing on Thursday afternoon and was rushed to the UCLA medical center by paramedics. Attempts at the home of the King Of Pop and in the ambulance to to resuscitate the Jacko were made, but sadly he was pronounced dead at 2:26pm local California time (22:26 GMT).

Family members of Michael were seen arriving at the UCLA medical center, including sister Latoya and brother Jermaine. Jermaine has said; “The family request that the media please respect our privacy during this tough time. And Allah be with you Michael always. I love you.” Of course, Michael was raised as a Jehovah Witness.

The singer, born Michael Joseph Jackson in Gary, Indiana in the US on August 29th 1958, who had such hits as Bad, Beat It and Thriller got thrown into fame from a very early age and went on to be the most sucessful entertainer this world has ever known. Including winning a Lifetime Achievement Award, Entertainer of the Millenium Award and various others. Michael Jackson changed the face of music, by showing the world the music video culture.

Mr Jackson leaves behind three children, Michael Joseph Jackson Jr, Paris Michael Katherine Jackson and Prince Michael Jackson II.

He will always have a place in my heart and will be dearly missed. He is in a better place now.
