The 15th anniversary of Halo is almost here, and Microsoft is already teasing us ahead of the date, where they look set to reveal something via their upcoming live stream.
To get us excited, they’ve released a teaser for the stream (below), and you’ll have to tune in at 3:43PT on Tuesday, November 15th to see what’s going on. With 15 years of Halo 1, not forgetting the 12th birthday of Halo 2, which happened on the 9th of this month, we’re eager to see what is coming too, and we think we have a rough idea what to expect too.
“The studio is working on a number of cool things to help celebrate this huge milestone which also happens to coincide with the 15th anniversary of Xbox itself,” said Brian ‘ske7ch’ Jarrard in the announcement. “Mark your calendars now and please plan to join us throughout the day as we collectively celebrate and offer a huge thanks to our community for supporting Halo for 15 years!”
The trailer has music from Halo 3, which we already know featured in the MCC, but it wasn’t exactly remastered or anywhere near as polished as the Halo 1 and 2 releases the bundle included. Since the launch, there have been cries far and wide for a real Halo 3 remaster. Halo 5: Forge is still pulling its weight on PC too, but there are many features missing. Will we see Halo hit the PC in the same way that Forza: Apex helped bridge that series to Windows? We really want to be right on this one, so fingers crossed.
