Microsoft’s inadvertently dropped the latest indication that it’s ramping up development of a successor to the Xbox 360.
A pair of job ads – now removed from Microsoft.com – mentioned the “next-generation” of Xbox, just a few months after MS employees scrambled to remove references of the next-gen platform from their LinkedIn CVs.
The first job ad, spotted by Superannuation, is for a software development engineer to join Microsoft’s Redmond HQ. “Join us as an integral part of the team tasked to revolutionize audio for the next generation of Xbox,” it reads.
Perhaps more interesting is the second listing, which was for a position at Forza Motorsport developer Turn 10.
The studio’s on the hunt for a cinematics art director capable of “defining and driving the cinematics vision and techniques needed to achieve exceptionally high quality content for our Next Generation of games.” Naughty.
Last month, a since-deleted Tweet from a Crytek developer claimed Microsoft held an Xbox 720 summit in London to discuss its next-gen plans.
