Microsoft Is Offering Personalized Deals to Some Users for Its Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Subscription
Microsoft has been changing its strategy for its Game Pass game subscription service. After a very negative response to the increase in plan prices a few months ago, Microsoft decided to lower the price of its most expensive subscription plan to continue gaining subscribers after the massive loss of users when it raised its price by 50%.
Now, Microsoft seems to be testing another system to gain more users: a personalized pricing policy.
Some users have reported on Reddit that they are receiving offers from Microsoft to subscribe to Game Pass Ultimate. One user in particular showed an offer of $16.09 per month, with a fixed price for a full year. This is a major discount that would make the user pay more than 80 dollars less per year compared with the usual price of $22.99.
Microsoft Tries to Win Back Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Users With Personalized Discounts
Other users have also shown the prices they were offered, closer to $20 than the $16.09 mentioned earlier, with amounts that are completely different from each other. This is enough reason to suspect that Microsoft is offering personalized deals to some users.
With this strategy, Asha Sharma wants to bring back customers who left Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. The strategy is aimed at users who have not accessed Game Pass for some time, or users who put price above everything else.
For now, Microsoft has not commented on the matter, so we cannot predict which users may or may not receive these types of offers.
