Microsoft Raises Xbox Series Console Prices Across Europe and the UK
Microsoft has officially increased the prices of its entire Xbox Series console lineup across Europe. Starting in August, the company’s official stores in the region have updated their prices with significant increases.
The biggest change affects the entry-level Xbox Series S 512 GB, which now costs €499.99. That is the same launch price the more powerful Xbox Series X had when it was released in November 2020.
Xbox Series S Now Costs €499.99
The price increase follows adjustments Microsoft announced earlier, but the impact in Europe is much greater than in other regions. In the United States, prices went up by around $100 to $150, while in Europe the increase reaches €150 for the 512 GB Series S and €200 for every 1 TB version.
The updated Xbox prices in Europe are:
- Xbox Series S (512 GB): €499.99 (up €150 / +66.7% since launch)
- Xbox Series S (1 TB): €599.99 (up €200 / +71.4% since launch)
- Xbox Series X Digital (1 TB): €749.99 (up €200 / +50.0% since launch)
- Xbox Series X with disc drive (1 TB): €799.99 (up €200 / +60.0% since launch)
The United Kingdom has also seen similar increases. The Xbox Series S 512 GB now costs £429.99, while the Xbox Series X with a disc drive is now priced at £669.99.
With these changes, the Xbox Series S 1 TB has become the Xbox console with the biggest percentage price increase compared to its original launch price in 2023.
