Microsoft Store to Get a Major Makeover, New Features and Improvements Coming Soon
Windows includes a platform that many users dislike, but it also has its supporters because of features like Game Pass. We are talking about the Microsoft Store, the platform we mainly know through Windows, but it’s also available on other Microsoft devices.
Platform’s Big Update
Microsoft is working hard to improve the Microsoft Store. They plan to give it a complete makeover to make it more user-friendly. This change is important because around 250 million people use it on Windows every month. The new features will include better customization options, smarter search, and better integration with Windows.
One of the biggest changes is how the home page will be personalized. Based on your profile, whether you’re a gamer, developer, or productivity-focused user, the page will show you the most relevant content. You’ll also see new recommendations based on your recent activities, trends in your region, and the latest deals. Everything will be customizable to suit your needs.
Another big improvement is the search system. Searching in the platform will be faster and smarter. It will now understand the user’s intent better and categorize the results more clearly. Plus, it will be more sensitive to different languages, so it can understand your search more accurately.
The platform has also introduced Copilot, a new feature that will help answer questions while you’re browsing product pages. Right now, this feature is only available in the United States. Alongside Copilot, there will be a new section called “Discover More”, which will show related content that may interest you.
Better Integration with Windows
The Microsoft Store will be better integrated with Windows search. It will even suggest apps for installation when you search for something, helping you get what you need faster. It’s not yet clear how the Store will handle paid content, but it’s expected that it will clearly show when something is free or paid.
Windows will also offer suggestions for programs that can open certain file types, especially when you don’t have a program to open them.
Microsoft is also working on improving the performance of the platform. They claim it now loads in half the time it did six months ago. The improvements are not just about looks; the Store should be faster and more efficient.
