In the hopes that this tablet will be more appreciated and purchased compared to the time where many ignored the Windows RT device through Microsoft’s 31 retail stores and 34 pop-up stoes in U.S, you will get to see and buy this via Best Buy.
The original plan was to let this to be sold in 3rd party retail stores during 2013, but considering that Microsoft’s RT isn’t really doing well in sales and retailer’s interest in RT devices are low, Microsoft decided to make it happen today. There’s no comment if Surface RT would be available beyond the U.S and Australia and there’s the question of “Will this step to sell via 3rd party retailers finally help Microsoft to sell their Surface tablets with Windows RT?”. Time will only tell.
