MindsEye Patch 7 Boosts Gameplay with Key Quality of Life Tweaks
Apparently, Rocket Boy is defying the odds and is still rolling out patches for their “high-octane cinematic thriller”, MindsEye. This latest update focuses heavily on refining the player experience, smoothing out some of the “unfair” mission spikes, and tidying up the visuals. If you’ve been struggling with some of the game’s more punishing moments, this patch should make your journey through the campaign a much smoother ride.
MindsEye Patch 7
The headline changes here are all about fairness and navigation. The developers have listened to all 6 members of the community for feedback regarding mission difficulty and clarity. For instance, navigation should be a breeze now that guidance blips have had their visibility distance boosted from a measly 100m to a much more helpful 1000m.
Missions like Robin Hood have seen specific tweaks to visibility, clearing the sandstorm earlier so you can actually see the highway. Additionally, Morrison has received a health buff in several missions, which should prevent those frustrating “mission failed” screens just because an NPC couldn’t hold their own in a gunfight.

Key Improvements in Patch 7
- Navigation: Guidance blips now visible up to 1000m.
- Mission Balancing: Increased health for Morrison and various NPCs to prevent unfair failures.
- PC Controls: Companion Drone descent is now mapped to Left CTRL instead of Left Shift for better usability.
- Visuals: Default motion blur has been reduced, and blood/flesh impact effects have been improved.
- Audio: Improved social cues in the Solitary Confinement mini-game and added missing music to several cinematics.
What We Think
In such a cutthroat industry, it’s quite a surprise that the studio behind Mindseye hasn’t been shut down following one of the worst releases of 2025 and one of the worst triple-A releases of all time. MindsEye is honestly a pretty good-looking game, but sadly thats about the only good thing going for it. The patch does quite a bit to fix some of the biggest issues in the game. I doubt it will be enough to get people playing the game, as it mostly just fixes surface-level stuff, and this game has much deeper issues.
Tell Me More
Beyond the gameplay balance, there are plenty of technical bug fixes under the hood. Issues with enemies appearing idle, GPS tracking errors, and weapons firing while reloading have all been addressed. However, it is worth noting a change for those using the trial version: The Free Starter Pack was removed on 4 February 2026. If you were still playing through that, it will no longer be accessible, regardless of whether you have it downloaded, so it might be time to pick up the full version if you want to keep the story going.

Where to Buy
You can pick up MindsEye on all major digital storefronts, including Steam and the Epic Games Store for PC users, as well as on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. But honestly i would save your money for just about any other game.
