Minecraft Diamonds Are 11 Times More Rare Than Real Ones

Minecraft players know how rare and extremely useful diamonds are in the game. They can be used to build the most durable tools and weapons. However, what few people know is that diamonds in the game are ridiculously scarcer than in real life.

An infographic from a metallurgy consulting firm shows that real diamonds form 0.02% to 0.18% of the Earth’s crust, while Minecraft gems have a ratio of 0.016% of the world.
