MMD Introduces New 24-Inch LCD Displays with PowerSensor

MMD is a leading brand license partner for Philips Monitors and they’ve announced two new 24-inch LCD displays that work for the health of users as well as the planet. The two new monitors are packed with eco and user-friendly design features which include an integrated PowerSensor to turn the power off when no one is at the desk as well as a special LowBlue mode to cut the amount of blue light exposure for the eyes. Combined with the colour performance and wide viewing angles of IPS technology, the 16:10 aspect ratio as well as advanced connectivity with USB 3.0, they are displays to improve productivity in any modern office.

“At home and at work, people routinely log many hours of screen time every day. These displays are part of our ongoing commitment to developing innovative products that keep people working productively and healthily even when hours are long,” said Artem Khomenko, Product Manager Philips monitors Europe at MMD

It can put a strain on your eyes when you work a long time in front of one or more monitors for prolonged times and keeping your eyes healthy is an important factor. Excessive exposure to the blue light of displays can potentially harm vision, but the new 240B7QPJEB/240B7QPTEB LCD displays counter this impact with their LowBlue mode. Developed to enhance wellbeing, LowBlue mode uses a smart software technology to reduce the shortwave blue light and it is being complimented by Philips Flicker-free technology for an even better viewing experience., a solution to regulate brightness and reduce flicker for more comfortable viewing.

To finish a good viewing experience, the displays also feature the SmartErgoBase where users can tilt, swivel and height-adjust the monitor to their personal preference. As a bonus, the stand also features a cable management clip.

The monitors are built with IPS technology which allows for a wide viewing angle of 178/178 degrees. This allows for viewing of documents from almost any angle, even nearly side-on. The aspect ratio is also nice for work with a 16:10 ratio and 1920 by 1200 pixels. The narrow bezels also make the monitor perfect for multi-monitor setups.

Feature Highlights

  • 16:10 aspect ratio for less scrolling when working with applications
  • Sustainable eco-design with Power Sensor saves up to 80% energy costs
  • LowBlue Mode for eye-friendly productivity
  • IPS technology for full colours and wide viewing angle

The difference in the two new models lay in the available connectors and you can see a comparison of those below. The new Philips 240B7QPJEB/240B7QPTEB LCD displays are available now for an RRP of £289.00/£299.00 respectively.
