Moto X Will Drop To $100 On Contract By Q4 2013

Motorola’s Moto X smartphone currently costs $199 on a two year contract with AT&T or Verizon but apparently Google and Motorola are planning to slash that price in half, to $100 on contract, by Q4 of 2013 in an effort to increase sales of the new handset. This is hardly surprising a surprising move as Google’s recent price cut on the LG Nexus 4 is probably impacting on the Moto X’s sales quite a bit. Though it is still quite unusual to see a price cut come so early in a product’s life cycle but it isn’t exactly unlike Google, or any other aggressive Android smartphone vendor for that matter, to reduce the price of their handsets wherever possible to boost sales. The message is clear – if you’re looking to get the Moto X then you should wait until Q4 (October-December) of this year if you want the best deal.
