MOZA Officially Announces Dedicated Truck Sim Wheel

I am a massive fan of Euro and American Truck Simulator and have spent many hours in both with some tunes in the background and living on the road. I do this with a full Thrustmaster setup though with the exception of the custom shifter, it’s more of a racing styled wheel so it doesn’t really line up well with the truck sim experience. For a while there hasn’t really been an official product for this niche end of the sim racing market, but now MOZA have officially revealed their dedicated TSW Truck Wheel, and I really want one.

MOZA TSW Truck Wheel

The MOZA TSW Truck wheel is the worlds first tailor-made steering wheel for Truck Simulators and features a 400mm diameter that is found in most real truck steering wheels. It has a four spoke design with microfiber handstitched leather built around a premium aluminium alloy frame for robust durability.

The wheel features 14 realistically shaped short travel buttons which offer crisp and precise feedback, plus they feature tailored icons for real truck scenarios which also contain RGB backlighting customisable with 16.7 million colours. The icons can also be further customised with the included stickers. There are also two aluminium thumbwheels and two ultra thin joysticks which can also function as D-Pads.

Like many of MOZA’s other wheels, this one also features a customizable RPM LED light atop the centre of the wheel so when you get bored of hauling across Europe, try out some truck racing.

The wheel is a part of MOZA’s open ecosystem making it fully compatible with third-party wheelbases. The wheel itself uses the all-aluminium quick-release system that allows users to swap out their wheels within seconds.

One of the problems I have with my wheel is the inability to mount my wheel at the right angle for driving a truck, this has been solved with the optional extra clamp that can be purchased alongside the wheel. This clamp allows for angle adjustments ranging from 0-75 degrees for more accurate truck wheel positioning.

Indicator Stalk Addon

Whilst not yet released, MOZA is also working on an addon for indicator stalks (Via simracing-pc.de). This will feature three multi-function stalks offering a total of 26 functions for indicators, lights, cruise control and everything else you use stalks for. The release date of this addon is currently expected to be May 2024.

Price and Availability

The MOZA TSW Truck Wheel is available now for £299 and the adjustable Clamp is available for £39.99. Do bear in mind you do require a wheelbase such as Moza’s R5 standalone base that costs £299 and is their cheapest available option, that also doesn’t include pedals such as the SR-P Pedal for £149 and then an additional £39.99 for a clutch pedal.

It’s a very expensive hobby and I may now need to consider whether I should spend that kind of money.
