MSI Adds New Affordable RTX 5070 SHADOW 2X Model, Compatible with NVIDIA SFF
MSI has introduced two new models of the RTX 5070 under the SHADOW 2X design, offering more affordable options for users. These models include a standard version and an OC (overclocked) version, both featuring a dual-fan cooling system similar to the one MSI already uses in their 3-fan version with the same name. The cards are compact and small, making them ideal for users with limited space, as they are compatible with NVIDIA’s Small Form Factor (SFF) systems.
Design and Cooling System
The SHADOW 2X cards come with a TORX 5.0 dual-fan cooler—a feature seen in other MSI graphics cards. They have a black design with a backplate that includes a slot for better airflow. The card is designed to fit in spaces with limited room, with a thickness of just over two slots. The cooling system features a nickel-plated copper base that helps in distributing and absorbing heat, which is quickly transferred to the cooling pipes and then to the cooling fins. Additionally, when the workload is low, the fans can stop, ensuring minimal noise.
The new RTX 5070 SHADOW 2X models focus on offering a basic RTX 5070 that meets the recommended retail price set by NVIDIA. These models don’t include any special features, making them a great choice for those looking for an affordable option without extra enhancements.
