MSI Confirms It Will Not Release Any AMD Radeon RX 9000 Series Graphics Cards
MSI has confirmed that it will not release any AMD Radeon RX 9000 Series graphics cards. This means the company is completely skipping the RDNA 4 generation. While other manufacturers have already presented their new models, MSI has chosen to not participate in this launch, and it has been confirmed that no MSI Radeon RX 9000 models will be released.
Why MSI Is Skipping RDNA 4
MSI’s decision to skip the RDNA 4 generation comes after a significant reduction in the number of models it released in the previous generations. Two generations ago, with RDNA 2, MSI offered 45 models. However, for RDNA 3, this number dropped drastically to only 4 models. Now, with RDNA 4, MSI is not offering any models at all.
This decision may be seen as a mistake, especially given the ongoing competition between NVIDIA and AMD. This generation is expected to perform well, with many anticipating good results for Radeon solutions.
Will MSI Work With AMD in the Future?
At the moment, it’s unclear if MSI will skip just this generation or if it will stop working with AMD altogether. However, MSI might decide to return with new custom Radeon models once the next UDNA architecture is released. For now, though, MSI’s future with AMD remains uncertain.
