MSI GE72VR 6RF Apache Pro GTX 1060 Laptop Review

CPU & Memory Performance

Cinebench R15

The laptop’s i7-6700HQ operating at a maximum turbo of 3.5GHz is capable of superb multi-threaded performance and isn’t too adrift of the i5-6600K. Even though the MSI GE72VR 6RF Apache Pro is beaten by the Aero 14, it’s only by a tiny amount and the ranking order could change with additional runs.

Despite recording the slowest time thus far, there’s very little to choose between a number of rival configurations and the laptop still manages to achieve a commendable result.

AIDA64 Engineer

The MSI GE72VR 6RF Apache Pro outputs good memory bandwidth figures and maintains a consistent range between the read, write and copy rates. While it’s not quite able to edge past the Aero 14, the memory speeds are more than ample for most usage scenarios.
