A little more substance has been provided to support the rumour of a $499 (ex. taxes) price tag on NVIDIA’s GEFORCE GTX 680 thanks to an early listing on an MSI model by European retailer PC Components.
This MSI branded GTX 680 with a respective model name of N680GTX-PM2D2GD5 has an associated price of 492€ (incl. VAT) and 416.95€ (excl. VAT) which lines up pretty closely with the US $499 price point we’ve heard whispers of previously.
The listing on PC Components also includes an image of MSI’s box art for its new GTX 680 card which confirms a number of features including NVIDIA GPU Boost Technology, 3D Vision Surround (supporting up to three displays from the single card), 2GB memory running at 1502MHz (6GHz effective), a core clock of 1006MHz (1056MHz with boost) and a 195W TDP.
The full listing can be found here.
