MSI is re-launching the GS63 Stealth laptop, but now with a more affordable GTX 1050 GPU. The Stealth series features ultrathin gaming notebooks with powerful hardware in a compact size. In fact, the new GS63 Stealth GTX 1050 only weighs 1.8kg so it is fairly portable for a gaming laptop.
The laptop uses a 15.6-inch IPS full-HD screen with 72% NTSC and 100% sRGB coverage. It is superior to simple TN panels in terms of color accuracy and quality. Aside from this built-in display, users can also hook up three more monitors using an HDMI 1.4 port, a mini-DisplayPort 1.2 or the Thunderbolt 3 connector.
Inside, an Intel 7th generation Core i7-7700HQ with two DDR4-2400 SO-DIMM memory modules up to 32GB keeps things humming. Keeping it cool is MSI’s Cooler Boost Trinity technology which uses five heatpipes with active fans to keep temperatures low, despite the very thin size.
The keyboard is mechanical and is made by SteelSeries. It uses a full-size layout with numpad and RGB LEDs. Moreover, users can bind their own shortcuts via the SteelSeries Engine and customize it to their heart’s content.
Killer provides both the wired LAN and 802.11ac Wi-Fi connectivity. It even supports Bluetooth v4.2. In terms of storage, users get a 1TB HDD plus an M.2 slot for the PCIe or SATA SSD.
