MSI MAG B760 TOMAHAWK WIFI DDR4 Motherboard Review

The other key areas that are worth focussing on though comes down to VRM temperatures, which can differ wildly depending on the amount, the capacity of the current that can pass through them, and of course how the various heatsinks handle that power, which in turn, creates heat.

VRM Temperatures

I was actually expecting the VRM to run pretty hotly on this motherboard, it’s certainly been the case with these lower-end chipsets, such as the board from Colorful, and the Gigabyte B760 which ran pretty hot. However, at just 74.8c, it’s really doing a great job, and there were no signs of the CPU having to throttle its performance due to heat.

Peter Donnell

As a child still in my 30's (but not for long), I spend my day combining my love of music and movies with a life-long passion for gaming, from arcade classics and retro consoles to the latest high-end PC and console games. So it's no wonder I write about tech and test the latest hardware while I enjoy my hobbies!
