MSI MPG 271QR QD-OLED X50 Gaming Monitor Review
OSD
When it comes to the OSD, the monitor is packed with features, and as you might expect for the back end of 2025, AI is a strong focus here. There is AI Crosshair, AI Vision, AI Care Sensor, AI Brightness and AI Light Sensor. How much of it is actually AI and how much of it are just overlays, and a lightsensor with the word AI put in front of them… well, that’s up for debate. However, these are still very handy features to have, optimising the image, brightness, and even turning off the panel when you walk away and back on when you sit down to extend panel life span; pretty cool stuff.
There’s full customisation for features like the KVM, MPRT, and even a screen-size function should you wish to drop to a true 25″ output for some competitive games. As I’ll cover layer, there’s a range of display profiles, but largely I suggest sticking with Eco or User modes. There’s a suite of OLED protections, such as pixel shift, static screen detection, logo detection etc, and you can use those as you see fit.
