MSI has launched its new SPATIUM M480 PRO SSD series featuring high-performance PCIe 4.0 speeds and high-density 3D NAND flash for ultimate performance. The M480 Pro series features 3 new drives in capacities of up to 4TB as well as plenty of data error correction features including LPDC ECC and E2E Data Protection, for maximum longevity and durability.
The Spatium M480 PRO HS is the pinnacle of the new lineup boasting a bronze-coloured aluminium heatsink to efficiently dissipate heat away from the SSD allowing it to sustain its performance. The drive is available in sizes of 1TB, 2TB and 4TB and brings extreme Gen 4 speeds of up to 7400 MB/sec sequential read and 7000 MB/sec sequential write.
The SPATIUM M480 PRO Play is designed to be compatible with the PlayStation 5 and features a slim dual-finish aluminium heatsink to dissipate heat away from the drive. The PRO Play comes in capacities of 1TB, 2TB and 4TB and again features speeds of 7400 MB/sec sequential read and 7000 MB/sec sequential write.
The Spatium M480 Pro is the base model of this SSD again offering 1TB, 2TB and 4TB models with speeds of 7400 MB/sec sequential read and 7000 MB/sec sequential write. This SSD does not feature a heatsink and is for those who have heatsinks built into their motherboards and don’t need the heatsink that is included in the HS model.
