MSI Unveils Norse Mythology Inspired RTX 50 Series Laptops

MSI is one of the biggest names in the PC business, with a plethora of products ranging from gaming mice to graphics cards. Their laptops are some of the best in the world, offering a range of options from light and portable, to chunky performance monsters. These new ones are a little more on the monster side though, as they’re packing the latest Nvidia RTX 50-series technology, they’re expected to be pretty powerful.

Revealed at their MSIology: Dragonforged Dominance Launch Event, their lineup is said to be inspired by the ancient Norse myth of Yggdrasil. At their core, these are just high-end laptops and look just about as you might expect. In fact, most of them just look like normal laptops to me. However, the top end models look like they come with some interesting design elements, which they say are “embracing the themes of renewal and resilience” while still delivering on “innovative technology, luxurious aesthetics, and extreme performance.” And I don’t doubt that last one.

Dragonforged Dominance Launch Event

“Much like the mythic World Tree that connects the nine realms, our new laptops are designed to meet diverse user expectations—from immersive gaming to high-end professional work” said Steven Yang, MSI Notebook Regional Sales & Marketing Manager.

The new laptops consist of the Titan Series, these are the fancy ones, with the Titan 18 HX Dragon Edition Norse Myth featuring some rather stunning hand-painted art. This flagship features the latest NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 series graphics, an Intel Core Ultra 200HX processor with built-in NPU. Unsurprisingly, this also means it comes with a whopping 400 W power adapter.

Next up is the Raider Series, these are high-end gaming-focused systems with AMD Ryzen 9000HX/9000HX3D or Intel Core Ultra 200HX processors paired with RTX 50 graphics and pre-calibrated 4K/120 Hz Mini LED displays.

The Stealth series is designed to be slimmer and more portable, but still very powerful. Powered by AMD Ryzen AI 300 or Intel Core Ultra 200H processors, a full-size RGB keyboard, and 50-series graphics. The Vector is optimized for STEM & professionals, with dedicated SSD cooling, Thunderbolt 5 and just built to handle more demanding workloads. Finally, there’s the Venture & VenturePro Series, which are your more general high-performance systems. Again, these feature Intel Core Ultra 200H or AMD Ryzen AI 300 processors, but with OLED touchscreen displays, upgradable memory and storage, and a robust 90Wh battery with Battery Boost technology.

AI & Machine Learning

It’s an ideal choice for AI professionals and companies requiring consistent high-performance computing.” – Dr. Min-Chun Hu, Technical Consultant at AI Startup NeuinX

3D Content Creation & Design

Game Development & 3D Asset Production

“Creating high-quality 3D assets in Unreal Engine 5, 3ds Max, and ZBrush demands robust hardware. The MSI Vector 16 delivers exceptional stability for rendering and texturing, allowing seamless work efficiency—even on the go.” – Emiel Sleegers, CEO of FastTrack Studio

3D Content Creation

“Developing massive open-world games like Assassin’s Creed requires powerful and reliable hardware. Gaming Performance

“With up to 260 W of combined CPU/GPU power, the MSI Raider 18 maximizes performance for competitive gaming.
