MSI Z87-G43 (LGA 1150) Motherboard Review

BIOS

MSI deploy a UEFI BIOS to the Z87-G43. The board uses MSI’s Click BIOS 4.

In my opinion the layout isn’t that great because the “OC” tab includes more or less everything you’d use include setting XMP profiles – I’d hardly call that overclocking.

Inside the OC tab you have all the CPU and DRAM tweaking settings you could need.

The MFlash tab allows you to update your BIOS to the latest version.

The next tab is the OC Profile tab which allows you to load up OC profiles that you have saved or downloaded.

The hardware monitor tab gives you the ability to tweak and tune fan speeds and their relevant profiles.

The board explorer allows you to see a visual representation of what is in each port on the motherboard.
