MSI Z87 MPOWER (Z87) Motherboard Review
The BIOS for the Z87 MPOWER has dramatically changed from what we’re used to from MSI. The whole BIOS is branded in yellow and some new features have been added to give more functionality and improved overclockability.

One of the newest features is the shiny hardware monitor giving you indications on temperatures and fan control of the motherboard.

Another key feature that is new is the board explorer which tells you exactly what areas of the board are populated and with what components including the memory, CPU and expansion cards.

A BMW owner eh? It looks like you’re not terribly fussy Andy. Lol. Jokes aside, I quite like the looks of this board and I never noticed the VRM heatsink was in the shape of a M. I wonder if it was done on purpose or just a coincidence. I’ll have to assume the former.
I see another batch of mobo’s have arrived at the offices for testing, this one being among them but I won’t be testing any of them. I’ll ship them off to the junior hacks for evaluation.
Would like to see what can be done with an ASUS Maximus VI Gene, but that 5.0 ghz is impressive even if that voltage is pushing it a bit.
:o
Great board by MSI.. I’m really impressed by the design as well as the performance.
Do you guys even proof read?
Test system
Asus Z77-A
Intel i7-3770k?!?
And 5 Ghz windows stable on just 1.385 Vcore? Uh, no. What was your ring frequency and voltage?
