Final Thoughts
This product seems to be aimed at those who are looking for a great quality, feature rich PSU that allows them to customise the power supply to the airflow of your system, not the other way around. Coming in at a fairly low £115 at the time of writing you are getting a lot of features for the money however when compared to the newer PSUs in a similar price range such as the Antec High Current Gamer 900W or Corsair Professional Gold 650W the Xzero is hard to recommend, despite it’s unique features which in the modern world of quiet PSUs, come as a bonus rather than a selling point. If considered as a standard 600W PSU without the features it maintains a high quality standard with stable rails, but is not quite up there with the newer competition.
Overall, if you are looking for a great quality PSU for an averagely specced system or a SFF system then this would be a great choice of PSU. Other manufacturers can learn a lot from NesteQ’s EECS system and the choice of including fan power cables. The airflow options available make it a useful tool for extracting hot air which is especially useful for SFF builds. The passive cooling aspect also makes it a good candidate for SFF or HTPC builds and should not necessarily be discredited due to it’s high price point as if you are in the niche audience that this still benefits, then it is worth it’s weight in gold.
