Despite recently raising prices and introducing an Ad tier Netflix has announced that they are going to be lowering the prices of their monthly subscriptions in an effort to grow or slow down their dwindling subscription numbers. Before you get excited though these price cuts don’t include the US or UK and are mostly in less wealthy nations.
The price cut instead affects over 30 countries in areas of Latin America, Asia, Africa and the middle east, Specifically Croatia, Slovenia, Venezuela, Jordan, Libya, Thailand and many more. Netflix hopes these price cuts will boost its subscription numbers and possibly decrease its password-sharing problems which have been a big topic in recent weeks for Netflix.
I don’t personally use Netflix but from what I hear it isn’t as good as it used to be especially when compared to the offerings from other streaming platforms. With the current cost-of-living issues, the Netflix subscription seems to be an easy choice to go on the chopping block.
Are you in one of the affected countries and will this price cut convince you to get Netflix or even decide to keep it if you were reconsidering the subscription? Let us know in the comments.
