According to the information from the latest AMD drivers, new desktop processors from the Ryzen 9000 series will be arriving soon. Among the confirmed models are the Ryzen 5 9600X3D, Ryzen 5 9600, and a series of Ryzen 9000 PRO CPUs. These processors are expected to initially be available through system integrators in the second half of 2025.
Ryzen 5 9600X3D
The AMD Ryzen 5 9600X3D will serve as an entry-level option for 3D V-Cache technology within the Ryzen 9000 series, aiming to promote the adoption of Zen 5 and AM5 platforms. This chip will feature 6 cores and 12 threads, with a single CCD incorporating second-generation V-Cache technology, providing 64 MB of cache for a total of 96 MB of L3 cache. It is expected to maintain similar TDP values and clock speeds as the Ryzen 5 9600X.
Other Confirmations from AMD
Additionally, there are references to the Ryzen 5 9600, a 6-core, 12-thread processor with clock speeds of up to 5.2 GHz and 32 MB of L3 cache, featuring a TDP of 65W. This processor is currently being distributed to integrators. Although it has been available for some time, its presence in the retail market has been limited.
Finally, the AMD list includes new Ryzen 9000 PRO desktop processors. Four models have been detected: Ryzen 9 PRO 9945, Ryzen 7 PRO 9745, Ryzen 5 PRO 9645, and Ryzen 5 PRO 9400. The specific architecture of these chips has yet to be confirmed. It is important to note that AMD will also release its next generation of APUs later this year.
It is most likely that the AMD Ryzen 5 9600X3D will hit the direct-to-consumer market between the end of Q3 and the beginning of Q4 2025, following its initial launch through integrators.
