New Cyberpunk 2077 Version of ASUS ROG Xbox Ally Looks Incredible

Special edition consoles always attract the attention of collectors and fans. Over the years, it has become common to see consoles customized around some of the most popular games on the market. Now it has happened again with the ASUS ROG Xbox Ally Cyberpunk 2077 Edition, inspired by CD Projekt RED’s famous game.

Created together with AK Studio, a Taiwanese modding team, Asus showed this special version of its latest handheld console. More specifically, it is based on the ROG Xbox Ally X, the most powerful model in the company’s current lineup.

It is important to mention that there are no hardware upgrades. The console still comes with an AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processor, 24 GB of LPDDR5X memory, and a 1 TB SSD. It also includes a 7-inch screen with 1080p resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate.

As seen in the images, the modding studio used the famous yellow color from Cyberpunk 2077. Instead of using a clean design, the console includes worn and damaged effects across the body, matching the style of Night City perfectly. It also features some of the logos and graffiti seen in the game, giving the device a very strong personality.

If you are wondering whether you can buy this console, the quick answer is no. Asus has not shared any release date. In fact, the company has not even mentioned a possible giveaway, something that is usually common with these kinds of special editions.

For now, it seems there are no real ways to get a ROG Xbox Ally Cyberpunk 2077 Edition. This also raises the question of whether Asus and other handheld console makers should start focusing more on special editions like this in the future.
