Although there have been no official releases from Nvidia with regards to the naming structure of the next generation of 28nm based Video cards we now know they will be called the 600 series. This was realised after Nvidia’s 285 beta drivers showed up two entries for Nvidia 600 series cards:
The two chips are obviously both mobile graphic parts as indicated by the M and the relatively low number in traditional Nvidia progression of X10 (i.e GT 210M) being the slowest while X90 (GTX 590) is fastest. The fact that only these two relatively low end chips are being coded into the drivers would suggest Nvidia is going for a bottom to top release or it is starting with these mainstream low end cards first and the more advanced cards will follow a bit later on. It is believed these chips are the GK107 Kepler chips that have been circulated around in the news a lot in the past week.
