Nintendo May Be Refunding Xenoblade Chronicles X Players on Nintendo Switch 2
Xenoblade Chronicles X has recently been released on Nintendo Switch 2, offering a 5-dollar upgrade for players who already own the Nintendo Switch version.
The update is meant to improve visual quality, but it has also introduced some image issues that have not pleased fans. As reported by Reddit user tamodolo, some players have asked Nintendo for a refund. The surprising part is that Nintendo has agreed to refund the game in certain cases.
Refunds for Xenoblade Chronicles X – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition
The Reddit user explained that he requested a refund because of image quality problems, which in his view look worse than the original version. He said that Nintendo replied that they normally do not offer refunds for digital games, but this time they decided to do so after reviewing the “problem”.
According to the user, the review took about a minute and a half. This has led to the idea that Nintendo may be approving refunds for anyone who asks.
The same user also stated that the visual quality of Xenoblade Chronicles X emulated in native 4K through Cemu looked much better than the upgrade offered on Nintendo Switch 2. He added that he asked for the refund to send a message to Nintendo, to make it clear that this is not the level of quality expected from the company. He also encouraged others to do the same.
However, it is important to note that Nintendo’s customer support response may vary depending on the country.
The situation has sparked discussion among fans, especially those who paid for the upgrade expecting a clear improvement. Some players feel disappointed, as the update was promoted as a way to enhance the game’s visuals.
