Nintendo’s statement, however, didn’t provide much clarity. Speaking to the Japanese publication Sankei, a Nintendo spokesperson simply noted that the images and videos circulating “are not official.” While this comment confirms that the leaked materials aren’t directly from Nintendo, it doesn’t dismiss the accuracy of the rumors.
No Confirmation, No Denial
Nintendo’s approach neither confirms nor denies the legitimacy of the leaks. The spokesperson’s comments only emphasized that the shared content isn’t official, which leaves room for speculation. Many believe this could lend credibility to the leaks, as an official reveal might be closer than anticipated.
At CES 2025, Genki, an accessory manufacturer, displayed a full mock-up of the Nintendo Switch 2, alongside images of redesigned Joy-Cons and other elements. While these details aren’t officially verified, they are building significant excitement and anticipation for Nintendo’s next big announcement.
