Nintendo Reveals Switch 2 Enhanced Games in New Trailer
Nintendo has released a new trailer showcasing several Nintendo Switch games that have been improved for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. These enhanced versions benefit from higher resolution, smoother frame rates, and in some cases, new features that take advantage of the upgraded console hardware.
The List of Enhanced Titles
The improvements start with the Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 Collection, which now runs with optimized graphics on Switch 2. It also introduces support for the Joy-Con 2’s mouse mode, which enhances cooperative gameplay.
Next up are Super Mario Odyssey and Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, both receiving notable technical upgrades. In particular, Pokémon benefits from a much more stable frame rate, while Mario Odyssey now supports HDR and GameShare, improving both visuals and social features.
The trailer concludes with more titles joining the upgrade list:
- The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom – features optimized graphics and HDR support.
- 51 Worldwide Games – now supports GameShare functionality.
- Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker – improved graphics with both HDR and GameShare compatibility.
Not long ago, many fans expressed their wish to see enhanced backward compatibility for older titles on the new Switch model — and Nintendo seems to have delivered.
The Switch 2’s ability to improve existing games is an important step forward, especially considering the technical limits of the original console. The first Switch often struggled with third-party games due to low resolutions and inconsistent frame rates.
Now, with Switch 2, Nintendo is promising a smoother, sharper, and more visually impressive experience across both old favorites and new releases.
