Nitro Concepts E200 Race Series Gaming Chair Review

Performance

Building the E200 was super easy, by far one of the easiest I’ve ever had to do. This is partly down to the fact that the E200 lacks a lot of features, but when it comes to building it, that’s not such a bad thing and one person can easily do it on their own in about 20 minutes. Once built, it certainly looks impressive too, with that white trim creating a nice border around all the main components and giving it a nice unique appearance.

The base of the seat is nice and deep, although you can unscrew the bolts and slide the back rest forward/back to suit your leg size if you need to. The padding is nice and forgiving with a springy feel to it too, and with the gas lift offering a range of adjustments it’s easy to find a height that suits both younger gamers and adults.

The wheels are nice and sturdy, with slow bearing so that the chair doesn’t kick away too easily. The Nylon coated wheels work well on carpet but are also well suited to harder surfaces thanks to the grip they provide.

The armrests aren’t adjustable, but they are a good size overall. The join onto the rear of the chair, which means there’s a huge surface area on the top, giving you lots of room to dig your elbows in when you’re relaxing in the chair. Plus, the white trim and floating design on the side looks great too, giving the E200 a sleek modern look.

The back rest is nice and wide, making it suitable for a wide range of people and while there are some wings at the side, they’re quite shallow and set wide, so they’re unlikely to prevent you getting your back comfortably in place.

The headrest is nice and large, and very well padded, while the wider top section of the chair gives you an excellent shoulder resting position. This does mean the chair looks quite large due to the shape, but it’s really a pretty standard form factor overall; looks can be deceiving.

Overall, the chair certainly looks impressive and it’s more comfortable that I would have expected given the lack of angle adjustment on the back rest and the fixed arms.

It fits snug under your desk, which is obviously a good thing but be sure to measure you under-desk space to ensure it will as those fixed arms could be a problem on narrow desk spaces.

As you can see above and below, We’ve got the E200 next to the Nitro Concepts C80 Comfort, and while the padding looks thinner on the E200, it actually feels softer and more comfortable; as you would expect from a slightly more expensive model! It also looks cooler too, while the C80 is more grown up, I like the sleeker and racier look of the E200 a lot more.
