Nixxes Brings Performance Fixes With Latest Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Update

Nixxes has just released the next title update for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, which seems to focus mostly on performance fixes and bugs. Although this patch seems significantly smaller than the other updates, it might be a sign that the game’s overall performance is better. Now that the game has been released on PC for around a month or two and has received eight rather big updates, it might actually be worth its £50 price tag. However, most people who wanted to play it would likely have already done so, regardless of the game’s performance quality.

Spider-Man 2 Update 8

Patch 8 for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 focuses on enhancing the game’s visual fidelity and stability. Performance has been improved in areas with dense foliage, and graphical issues such as rainbow pixelation for AMD users with ray tracing, blurry character hair, and flickering hair with Ray Reconstruction have been resolved—additionally, the pixelated transition on Spider-Man’s suit when wet or dry is now fixed.

Beyond visual improvements, this patch addresses several gameplay and user experience issues. A crash that could occur during vehicle chases when exiting the game has been fixed, along with a bug that made the Greenwich Mural Photo Op invisible at very high detail settings. Furthermore, a mouse unresponsiveness issue after canceling character switching and various user interface bugs have been resolved, contributing to overall stability improvements.
