noblechairs EPIC BLACK Edition Gaming Chair Review

How Much Does it Cost?

At £374.99 it’s obviously a lot more than the cookie-cutter gaming chairs out there, but at the end of the day it’s a lot more chair. There’s a lot of gaming chairs that are literally a block of foam glued to a slab of plastic or even wood. They look great until you spend a few days sitting in them of course. You get what you pay for basically, and at £374.99 I think it’s a pretty reasonable price for the fantastic quality you get.

Overview

I really like my noblechairs, they’re still keeping hold of their gaming roots that that aesthetic that the market wants. However, they’re building their chairs to a more executive standard, with excellent ergonomic features that make them actually comfortable, rather than just good looking for your Twitch stream. I mean, you can have the best of both worlds now with their Bethesda series chairs, tell me you don’t love THIS.

Build Quality and Design

This is a unique design to noblechairs, rather than a rebranded import like we see from a lot of big brands. They design, product, market and ship the products themselves and that really shows in the end product. From the packaging to stitching, there’s a lot of effort put in to make it look, feel and perform like a premium product. As I said, the chairs I’ve got in the office are noblechairs, some are 4 years+ and they’re still every bit as comfortable are they ever were. A few scuff marks on the arms and a bit dusty, but overall I have absolute confidence in the build quality of their new one.

Performance

I think these seats are a little hard-wearing. People are often lured in by those with the softer memory foam padding. However, I tend to find those make my back feel very hot very quickly. The chair promotes a good posture but doesn’t force you into it like most racing seats would. It’s wider and more open so you can sit with your legs crossed and feel comfortable. Plus the material is breathable so even on a warm day it’s possible to tolerate it and trust me, it was 28c in here this week, so I know that for certain.

Should I Buy One?

The chair is expensive, but it’s still very good value for money. Buy a cheap gaming chair and you’ll want to replace it after 12 months, sometimes even less than that. This chair will last you many years. Plus, the inclusion of the adjustable lumbar support, the add-on cushions, 4D armrests, rocker, tilt lock, adjustable back angle, and more, all add up in a big way. This is a big step up from the previous model, I highly recommend it.
