Nobody Is Buying the Radeon RX 9070 GRE Because the Price Is a Problem
The Radeon RX 9070 GRE offers good performance in 1080p and 1440p, but it has one big problem: its price is too high.
Early sales data shows that the Radeon RX 9070 GRE has not been successful. The card is already available in some German stores from 559 euros, but it has almost gone unnoticed and has not sold well.
Radeon RX 9070 GRE Struggles to Sell
The problem is the price. It does not make sense for the Radeon RX 9070 GRE to cost 559 euros when a Radeon RX 9070 can be bought for 547 euros. That card is faster and also has 16 GB of graphics memory. Having more graphics memory makes the Radeon RX 7900 GRE more flexible and better for 4K.
Anyone who bought a Radeon RX 7900 GRE made a very good purchase, especially when looking at the performance and price of the Radeon RX 9070 GRE, because both cards cost almost the same.
If AMD wants the Radeon RX 9070 GRE to make sense, it will need to lower the price. For less than 500 euros, it could become a graphics card worth considering, especially for 1440p gaming, where its 12 GB of VRAM fits well, just like the GeForce RTX 5070.
