With both the AMD Radeon 7000 and Nvidia GeForce 4000 graphics cards likely set for launch within the next couple of months, it was clearly only a matter of time before we started seeing EEC (Eurasian Economic Commission) listings from the various AIB partners confirming their upcoming releases. – This is, after all, one of the most common things to happen prior to any major tech release.

With this in mind, therefore, following a report via TechPowerUp, we have our first official EEC Nvidia and AMD next-gen EEC registrations. Albeit, while the manufacturer is more than a little surprising the key fact is that the registrations are so detailed that it may have just, pretty much, confirmed the entire line-up from both companies.

Next-Gen Nvidia & AMD GPUs Registered with the EEC

The listings have been submitted by ‘AFOX’ and I’ll just this out of the way very quickly by saying that this is a prominently Chinese-based manufacturer, and, as such, the vast majority of you reading this should feel no shame at all in never having heard of them. What is important, however, is that they’ve seemingly placed listings for pretty much every single Nvidia and AMD graphics card expected to release from the GeForce RTX 4000 and Radeon RX 7000 series.

So, this means that all these graphics cards must be set for an imminent release, right? Well, the short answer to that is no. – Registering names with the EEC is, in very basic terms, simply a trademark requirement. As such, you can register a product that either A) You never have any intention of manufacturing, or B) May never exist at all.

Plan Ahead!

What AFOX has almost certainly done here is simply cover all its potential bases in one fell swoop. The graphics card names from both Nvidia and AMD can, after all, easily be surmised just by transferring existing models from the current generation into the next. – So, with this in mind, what’s the big whoop?…

Well, the bottom line is that with the first EEC registration spotted, this basically confirms that at least some of the GPUs mentioned must be very close to a release date. So, expect EEC registrations from other manufacturers (which will likely include specific brand remits (ROG, Strix, Gaming Z, Kingpin, Windforce, etc.) to start appearing also in the very near future.

Yes, the next-gen of graphics cards is very much just on the horizon!
