Nvidia Confirms RTX 5090 Still in Production Despite Rumors of Discontinuation
Amid recent rumors about the possible discontinuation of the RTX 5090, the company has confirmed that production continues as normal and that the entire RTX 50 series remains available.
The RTX 5090 is currently Nvidia’s most powerful gaming graphics card, featuring over 21,000 cores, 32 GB of GDDR7 memory, and the new Blackwell architecture. It also supports DLSS MFG and advanced AI technologies.
Despite its high price, many workstation builders prefer it over professional models costing up to $9,000–$10,000, thanks to its excellent price-to-performance ratio.
Rumors and Nvidia’s Response
Earlier reports suggested that the RTX 5090 or other RTX 50 series models were no longer in production or nearing their end of life (EOL). However, Nvidia has denied these claims, confirming that “all GeForce RTX 50-Series GPUs [are] available.”
The only temporary exception is the Founders Edition of the RTX 5090, which is currently not listed. Nvidia explained that this happens when units sell out and will reappear once stock is replenished.
While some retailers may experience shortages due to high demand, the production of the RTX 5090 continues steadily. All RTX 50 series models remain available worldwide. For gamers or AI enthusiasts looking for top performance, there’s no need to worry — at least for now.
