Nvidia GeForce 466.47 – Game Ready For Days Gone!

With the recent release of the Days Gone PC port, it’s hardly surprising that we’d see graphics card driver update looking to bring the optimizations necessary to get the game running as well as possible. Well, while AMD might have been the first out of the gate with theirs, this time, it’s the turn for Nvidia owners. Yes, I’m afraid there’s a brand new driver update, but if you’re planning to try out a bit of Days Gone this week, it certainly appears to be a good idea to put the effort in!

Nvidia GeForce Game Ready 466.47 WHQL

As part of the official update notes, Nvidia has cited the following optimizations, fixes, and general improvements:

This new Game Ready Driver provides support for the launch of Days Gone on PC with increased levels of detail, higher foliage draw distances, native 4K rendering, a configurable field of view, ultra-wide monitor support, unlocked frame rates, and more. Additionally, this release also
provides optimal support for Knockout City.

This driver version is required for GeForce RTX 3080, RTX 3070, and RTX 3060 TI graphics cards with LHR, which ship starting late May, 2021.

FIXED ISSUES:

• [Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint]: The game experiences low performance / low frame rate when launched with Bar1 enabled in the SBIOS. [200721940]
• [Starbase][GeForce RTX 20/GTX 16 Series]: The game may crash. [3293977]

What Do We Think?

Without a doubt, one of the most interesting aspects of this update is the formal rollout of support for their new LHR (Lite Hash Rash) 30XX graphics card revisions.
