NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030 Specs Revealed

Specifications and pricing for NVIDIA’s GeForce GT 1030 graphics card have been revealed, thanks to Chinese site ZOL (via VideoCardz). The GT 1030 – based on the Pascal GP108 architecture – features 384 CUDA cores, 2GB of GDDR5 RAM, and uses a PCIe 3.0 x8 interface. The entry-level card features a base clock of 1,227MHz and a boost of 1,468MHz.

The memory is set to 6GHz effective speed, or 1,500MHz clock, therefore the GT 1030 has a bandwidth of 48GB/s. The card also appears to be cheaper than anticipated: originally estimated to be between 599 to 799 Yuan, ZOL lists the price as around 500 Yuan.

The entry-level card isn’t going to excite many gamers, but it will be a boost to HTPC builders. In terms of competition, the GT 1030 will no doubt be pitched against AMD’s Radeon RX 550 GPUs. Whether the card worries AMD or not, it will be a very welcome budget GeForce option.

The revealed specifications tally closely to the leak we reported last week. The unconfirmed report suggested that the GT 1030 would feature a base clock of 1,200MHz, a boost of 1,450MHz, a 1,750MHz memory clock, 922 GFLOPS, and 2048MB GDDR5.

The NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030 graphics card is expected for release on 17th May, priced around £70.
