Straight away, I must admit that I wasn’t expecting this card to have much to it. Sure, it has the specifications to impress, but the card just looks a little small and gutless. Despite that, however, it scored above the GTX 1060 and just behind the Vega 56 in FireStrike Ultra. Keep in mind, this is a 4K test, and not really what this card was designed for.
For TimeSpy, things improved quite a bit, scoring just behind the Vega 64 this time. Like… How is that even possible, that Sapphire Vega 64 is a triple slot, triple fan, triple 8-pin PSU connector monster of a GPU! Despite this, the 1660 Ti is breathing down its neck here, and the RX 580 is eating dust too.
Another strong result in Unigine too, with the 1660 Ti scoring between the Vega 56 and the GTX 1070, which is not a bad position given the size of the card and the competitive pricing. However, this is another 4K test, but that’s how we roll with this benchmark. I’m eager to see the 1080p performance, so let’s move on to something more usable for gamers.
