A lot of rumours have been flying about as of late about Nvidia’s dual core GTX 595 and exactly what it will entail and we are happy to let you know that it will definitily have two GF110 cores as used in the power hungry GTX 580. We do know that a card with two of these cores means that it’s going to run stupidly hot.
It is said that the card will feature a dual-slot cooler with three fans present, like we’ve seen on offerings before from Nvidia, and very much like the Accelero XTREME Plus from Arctic Cooling.
The card is rumoured to be around 225W and features two 2×4-pin PCI-Express connectors to power it and with this uber fan present, noise shouldn’t be too much of a problem.
We at eTeknix are very interested to see how this card pits against the Antilles 6990 that’s due out from AMD in February/March but i guess we will just have to wait and see.
