NVIDIA GeForce NOW Lets Players Install Games Directly in the Cloud with Install-to-Play
NVIDIA GeForce NOW has introduced Install-to-Play, a new feature that allows players to install games on the cloud, breaking past the current 2,300-title compatibility limit and nearly doubling it.
Announced at the opening of Gamescom 2025, this new option gives fans what they have long requested: the ability to install a game they own on a remote server and start playing right away, without the old compatibility restrictions.
Full Steam Library Support
Scalable and designed to support the entire Steam library, Install-to-Play has already attracted many publishers and developers. The service provides 100 GB of space per session, with data persistence for subscribers on the Ultimate and Performance plans.
Even better, this new feature, powered by NVIDIA’s advanced cloud-based NVMesh storage system, is available to users at no extra cost on top of their current plans.
Following the announcement of the Blackwell architecture coming to GeForce NOW, Install-to-Play marks another big leap forward for NVIDIA’s streaming platform, aiming to redefine the boundaries of cloud gaming.
“Seeing so many AAA and indie games arriving on GeForce NOW is a great win for studios and gamers alike,” said Larry Kuperman, Vice President of Business Development at Nightdive Studios.
“Expanding the GeForce NOW library with thousands of additional Steam titles means more gamers than ever can experience our worlds – seamlessly and instantly, on nearly any device – for a true PC experience in the cloud.”
