NVIDIA is Working on New GeForce RTX 50 SUPER Graphics Cards, According to a Rumor

NVIDIA is reportedly working on new graphics cards in the GeForce RTX 50 SUPER series. These cards are expected to launch in the coming months.

Earlier, NVIDIA released the new GeForce RTX 50 series, which includes the models RTX 5090, RTX 5080, RTX 5070, and RTX 5060, with the RTX 5060 set to release in May. Recently, new models have surfaced online, including the RTX 5080 SUPER and RTX 5070 SUPER. Let’s take a closer look at the details.

What’s New in the GeForce RTX 50 SUPER Models?

According to information shared on the Chiphell forum (thanks Wccftech), NVIDIA is already working on the new SUPER models for the GeForce RTX 50 series, which will include the RTX 5080 SUPER and RTX 5070 SUPER. One of the key upgrades is the VRAM with 3 modules using GDDR7 technology, similar to what was recently seen with the RTX 5090 version for laptops. Specifically, the RTX 5080 SUPER is expected to have 24 GB of dedicated RAM, while the RTX 5070 SUPER will feature 18 GB, a 50% increase compared to the standard models. This upgrade could be helpful for handling AI workloads.

Although the increased VRAM in the RTX 5080 SUPER may not offer a big improvement in gaming performance, the RTX 5070 SUPER could become a popular choice in the mid/high-end graphics card market. However, we should not expect huge performance gains compared to the current models on the market.

When Will the New GeForce RTX 50 SUPER Models Release?

At the moment, there is no exact release date for the new GeForce RTX 50 SUPER models. They could be launched sometime between the end of this year and 2026, with a possible official announcement at Computex 2025 in May.

It’s important to note that these are just rumors for now, and NVIDIA has yet to confirm or deny the details.
