Nvidia Launches GeForce RTX 5060 and 5060 Ti

Nvidia has just unleashed its latest generation of graphics cards, the GeForce RTX 5060 and the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti. For gamers eager to step up their gaming experience without breaking the bank, these new cards are certainly going to be appealing. Of course, while I doubt they’ll stick around their MSRP, just like every other launch recently, they should still represent the most affordable cards on the market, and most likely in greater quantities too (but don’t quote me on that).

As you might expect, these new cards are promising a blend of cutting-edge technology and affordability, largely in benefit to the Nvidia Blackwell architecture, which can leverage the latest advances in ray tracing, DLSS, and other AI technologies.

The RTX 5060 and 5060 Ti are engineered to deliver a bump in performance over the previous generation, although if you’re coming from say, the RTX 4060 series, it’s likely not a big leap, but more a compelling upgrade for those on 30 series, 20 series, and perhaps those still holding on to their GTX 10-series cards.

Key Features

  • DLSS 4: Multi Frame Generation for up to 8x performance increase.
  • NVIDIA Reflex 2: Reduces latency by up to 75% for more responsive gaming.
  • RTX Neural Shaders: AI-powered shaders for advanced graphics effects.
  • NVIDIA ACE: AI-driven characters for more immersive gaming experiences.
  • NVIDIA Broadcast: AI-powered audio and video enhancements for streaming and video conferencing.

Performance Expectations

Of course, we can’t tell you how fast these cards are right now, but the review NDA is tomorrow, and of course, we’ve got some on the test benches as we speak, so stay tuned for a full analysis on the hardware very soon!

The RTX 5060 and 5060 Ti are expected to provide “up to 8x the performance of previous-generation cards”, thanks to DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation. This new technology uses AI to generate additional frames, resulting in significantly higher frame rates and smoother gameplay. But I’m sure many of you are interested in the percentage of rasterisation performance improvement, and we’re eager to see that too. In addition to improved frame rates, the new cards also feature reduced latency thanks to NVIDIA Reflex 2.

Pricing and Availability

In an era where PC gaming pushes the boundaries of realism and immersion, having a powerful graphics card is paramount. However, the ever-increasing cost of high-end GPUs can be a significant barrier for many gamers. Nvidia aims to address this with the RTX 5060 and 5060 Ti, offering a sweet spot of performance and price. These cards not only promise to drive today’s most demanding titles, but also an impressive suite of technologies to push performance even further.

  • GeForce RTX 5060 Ti
  • GeForce RTX 5060

Both cards will be available from most major retailers, and all major AIB manufacturers, and hopefully not too heavily focused by the scalpers, as there are many hungry gamers out there that simply don’t want to pay above MSRP.
