NVIDIA May Launch RTX 5090 Ti Or RTX Titan As New Top-End GPU In 2026
Although the RTX 5090 is already the clear leader in performance, new rumors suggest that NVIDIA is working on an even more powerful model. The big question is whether this new flagship will be called RTX 5090 Ti or make the return of the RTX Titan name.
RTX 5090 Ti Or RTX Titan Could Launch In Q3 2026
Reports circulating online claim that NVIDIA is preparing a new top-tier GPU based on the RTX 5090 series, with a possible launch planned for the third quarter of 2026.
What remains unclear is the final name. The Titan branding has been missing since the Turing generation (RTX 20 series). Bringing it back would suggest a stronger focus on professional users and content creators, especially those who need very large amounts of VRAM. On the other hand, the RTX 5090 Ti name would make more sense if NVIDIA plans to market this card mainly to gamers.
While technical details are still early rumors, this new model is expected to use the GB202 chip in its full configuration. Even though the standard RTX 5090 is already extremely powerful, a Ti or Titan version could unlock more CUDA cores and, more importantly, offer a more aggressive memory setup, possibly going beyond 32 GB of GDDR7 VRAM.
The timing of this launch also appears strategic. Some reports suggest NVIDIA may have canceled or delayed RTX 50 “Super” models to focus on this single ultra-high-end GPU instead. With the next-generation architecture (likely the RTX 60 series) still far away, expected around 2027 or 2028, a summer or autumn 2026 release would help NVIDIA maintain its dominance at the top end of the market.
If these rumors are accurate, this could become the most powerful consumer graphics card ever released.
