NVIDIA N1x Arm-Based CPU Surfaces on Geekbench 6, Scoring Nearly 3100 Points in Single-Core Test
For over a year, there have been rumors about NVIDIA‘s plans to release an Arm-based CPU for Windows PCs. This upcoming processor is expected to be named the NVIDIA N1 and N1X, with the N1X being the more powerful version. Many were hoping for an announcement during COMPUTEX but it seems NVIDIA has delayed the launch of this processor.
NVIDIA N1x Performance in Geekbench 6
Recent tests show that NVIDIA is actively working on this project, as the NVIDIA N1x CPU was spotted on Geekbench 6. In a single-core test, it achieved a score of 3,096 points and 18,837 points in the multi-core test. The CPU is believed to have 20 cores (although they are incorrectly listed as threads) and is clocked at 2.81 GHz. However, it’s unclear whether this speed is its base frequency or if it can reach higher speeds with turbo mode.
System Specifications and Future Expectations
The test was conducted on an HP system running Ubuntu 24.04.1 LTS. Interestingly, it was equipped with 128 GB of RAM, but the specific type of memory was not mentioned. These initial performance results suggest that NVIDIA is indeed working on this product, and we can expect to learn more through future leaks.
