NVIDIA has released new GeForce graphics card drivers to make systems “Game Ready” for both Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and Mad Max, both of which are released on 1st September. While neither Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain nor Mad Max are GameWorks titles, the GeForce 355.82 WHQL video card driver will optimise systems for the best possible experience with the two games, with MGS V: TPP in particular said to be stunning when running in 4K.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain was initially expected for PC release two weeks after its console versions, but Konami has moved release forward for a worldwide launch on all systems on 1st September. Customers that pre-order The Phantom Pain on PC will receive a free copy of the game’s prologue, Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes.
As for Mad Max, early talk suggests the game is one of the better movie tie-ins to hit computers, though that’s hardly an accolade. The game’s system requirements, released three weeks ago, are rather demanding, so it should look great, at least.
New SLI profiles paired with the 355.82 driver include the games Batman: Arkham Knight, Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition, FIFA 16, Rocket League, and World of Tanks.
The GeForce 355.82 Driver is available for Windows Vista/7/8 and Windows 10.
