Not so long ago, NVIDIA released the WHQL driver version 375.70 which implemented a number of bug fixes, optimisations for the latest titles including Dishonored 2 and SLI profiles. Unfortunately, the driver had a number of undocumented problems and caused intermittent flickering on high refresh monitors. Also, the driver resulted in GIF artifacts on some people’s hardware. Thankfully, NVIDIA has quickly unleashed a hotfix driver update which addresses these problems.
Of course, the latest driver contains all the previous optimisations and key bug fixes while sorting out the aforementioned issues. I’m pleased to see NVIDIA act in such a swift manner and ensure customers have the best possible experience. In recent months, there have been quite a few issues with NVIDIA driver releases and I’d like to see this situation improve. Otherwise, NVIDIA’s reputation will suffer and people won’t perceive their drivers in the same way as they used to. If you own a NVIDIA graphics solution, it’s recommended to download the 375.76 driver via this link. Unfortunately, it’s not possible to download this particular version in GeForce Experience or through the normal website page.
